Financial summary (consolidated) for the fiscal year ended September, 2014

January 7 2015 - SHINRYO CORPORATION announced the Group's consolidated results for the 59th term (October, 2013 - September, 2014) as below.

ƒOverlook of the current fiscal year (consolidated)„
During the 59th term, due to the positive effects of eAbenomicsf policies, Japanfs economy showed a steady performance with rising stock prices, continued yen's depreciation, and improved corporate earnings. Still, as personal consumption that dropped after the consumption tax increase continued to be quite sluggish, Japan's economy did not progress further than a slow recovery.
In the construction industry, the term under review was characterized by a flourishing demand for construction on the one hand, but, on the other, exposed such issues faced by the industry as a shortage of construction workers, increases in the prices for construction equipment and materials, and increases in the wages of construction workers.
Under these circumstances, on consolidated base, the Group posted Orders Received of 238,600 million yen (of which Orders Received Overseas was 60,500 million yen), up 1.6% year on year (YoY), Net Sales of 209,300 million yen (of which Net Sales Overseas was 53,300 million yen), up 3.1% YoY, and Ordinary Profit of 7,700 million yen, up 13.2% YoY.

ƒFuture prospects„
Although the economy of Japan will probably not show a forceful performance in the near future, it is expected that as a result of a number of policies, capital investment as well as exports will increase leading the country to a gradual recovery. On the other hand, we need to carefully watch the future trends as there is a risk of a downturn in the economies overseas adversely affecting Japan's economy.
In the construction industry, capital investment and investments in the public utilities are expected to remain solid. Still, fundamentally, as there are remaining concerns regarding increases in labor costs and material prices, as well as a rapid drop of demand after the Tokyo Olympic Games expected over the medium term, environment of the industry will most probably continue to be just as severe as it is now.
In these circumstances, the Company intends to strengthen its LCM (life-cycle management) service system further and strive to increase the number of orders for renewal work. We shall also make an all-out Group effort to promote globalization and expand our overseas business. One more area we intend to work on is the area of increasing the awareness of our social responsibility, and the Group shall tackle its CSR activities very earnestly.
