Shinryo Corporation (Singapore Branch) was awarded the contract by the Land Transport Authority of Singapore on 27 October 2017 for the Supply and Installation of Tunnel Ventilation and Environmental Control Systems for the Thomson-East Coast Line Stages 4 & 5*1, Downtown Line 3 extension and East-West Line upgrade (Contract T373B).

The Thomson-East Coast Line (TEL), the sixth line on the country’s MRT network will serve 32 stations and around 43 km in length. It is fully underground and runs along a combined north-south and east-west corridor starting from the north at Woodlands and heading eastwards along the eastern coast of the country before ending at Sungei Bedok in the east.

A ceremony was held at Marine Parade station (TE26) on 21 June 2024 to officiate the opening of the fourth stage of the line from Tanjong Rhu to Bayshore. Seven (7) new stations were officially opened for passenger service on 23 June 2024.

Additionally, we were also involved in the construction of the Thomson-East Coast Line Stage 3*2 (TEL3) comprising of thirteen (13) stations which were completed and eleven (11) stations were officially opened for passenger service on 13 November 2022.

Since the company’s involvement in the construction of the first subway line in Singapore, namely the North-South and East-West Lines in 1987, we have continuously participated and contributed our expertise towards the development of the rail network in Singapore. To date, we have completed a total of approximately 70% of all underground stations built for Tunnel Ventilation and Environmental Control Systems.
